|Project||Nautic Port Ploče|
|Location||The project area is situated in the northern part of Ploče area (Baćine Bay), on the 700 meters long coastline, approximately 400 meters from the centre of the town. The City of Ploče is located at Adriatic Sea coast, at a mid-distance from Split and Dubrovnik. Its location is ideal for a port, being protected by the Pelješac peninsula, and enables quality maritime connections with islands. The Town is located at the Pan-European corridor Vc that contributes to the development of the Port of Ploče, the second largest sea port in Croatia.|
|Description||The project includes the construction of a nautical port Ploče with the maximum capacity of 400 berths on the location called Pod cestom, in the Baćine area in the town of Ploče.
The total project area is cca 11.4 hectares.
The planned capacities include 7 piers for 224 vessels of various sizes (up to 35 m).
Different versions of the port solution are possible providing they comply with the Development Plan for the “Pod cestom” area, the results of the Environmental Impact Assessment and the Maritime Study. Also, reconstruction and conversion of existing facilities into all the facilities necessary for the work of nautical tourism port are allowed.
According to the Conceptual Design prepared by the Town of Ploče, there are two options for development of this project.
The first one includes the construction of 292 berths, parking space for 101 cars, dry berths, exit station – travel lift or dock, as well as the reconstruction of existing facilities (the site was previously used as a technical workshop so there are several currently idle facilities) into a restaurant, a reception, shops, and a storage space.
The second option is an extended version of the first option. In addition to facilities built in the first option, it envisages full commercialisation of the area and construction of a hotel with 140 beds, more berths (up to 400 in total), a facility with shops, storage and a garage with 240 parking lots.
|Estimated value descriptive||Estimated value of the first option is 6 million EUR, while the estimated value of the second option amounts to additional 15.5 million EUR, but the final amount depends on the investor’s preferences and possible port solutions.|
